Heres a few links to the music of the Wixárika music group I had told you about before the soc meeting. the groups name is "el venado azul" which translates to "the blue deer". In their culture the deer is very symbolic they believe that the blue deer is able to travel to the world of the dead and bring back messages. This song made it to the top charts and soon after a dispute broke out regarding the rights to the song. the first link is the original song. the second link is the actual version that made it to the top charts. The title of the song is "la cusinela" or "the female cook" the song is mainly about food and how much he appreciates his wife and her cooking. In the third song the artist is singing about his son who had a little too much for dinner and ended up getting sick. not the typical topics but the beats are really catchy. just thought i'd share them with you, these songs make my commute a bit more interesting.
