Last Wednesday we interviewed classmates about the struggle with tuition going up and how to bring down tuition. My interviewee and I ended up having similar situations in which we are both lucky enough to have family members that thought about our college education a long time ago and saved up so that we could have this opportunity. Also Fresno State is one of the cheaper schools in the California State system.
My interviewee believed that yes tuition prices for college is ridiculous, however many students do not realize what you really get for it. We can get basically free and immediate health care from the college's health center; the school also provides computers, printers, a recreation center, tutoring and many other things that students forget about. You can also get discounted prices for amusement parks, laptops and many other things, just because you're a student. My interviewee believed that if more people take advantage of these tools that the school gives us then our tuition money will seem well spent.
