Fry,
Above is the website address to "Blurred Lines" lyrics.
In class on November 5, we listened to Robin Thicke's song "Blurred Lines." We then read two critiques about what the lyrics mean. One critic believed Thicke was singing about rapping a women just because she appeared to be seducing him. The other critic took more of an approval of Thicke's confusion about what women want. He explained that women are always teasing guys in the club scene. I interviewed one of my classmates on this topic. I asked her what she thought the lines meant. She saw both critiques as too one-sided. She under no circumstances believes Thicke to be a rapist or for his intention of the song to sound like rap. However, she did believe that some of the lines subtly gave the impression of being rap, whether Thicke intended it to be. She did know that Thicke was referring to his wife in the song from an interview she saw of him.
