Marisol Hernandez Class Interview #3

In my interview on the November 11 2014 at 3pm we discussed about the music's value and the price. She pointed out how she believed that artist should not care about the money but instead care about making music for people to hear, basically they are already doing what they love and the make enough money from the concerts given in their tours, that they do not necessarily need much more. She agreed that there will be a decrease in production of albums since they are more convenient and accessible, she gave an experience of her being in class and buying a song that she liked right from her phone. She explained how it wasn't hard and she didn't even have to drive all the way to the mall especially she had a choice of buying the whole album or just that particular song she liked. This shows how convenient it is, one it is relative simple to obtain a song and second one does not have to purchase the whole album since only one song is desired. Also she said she enjoyed streaming music such a Spotify an app that allows users to have access to artist and suggestions that are similar to the artist you like. She commented how it is like an outreach because without the addition of other artist that are not mainstream she wouldn't have discovered them and increase her music spectrum.  She believed that the price of the music does not to be increased because as she pointed out before the concerts give the artist enough money since they are expensive and sell even additional things at the concert arena. Music is something that shouldn't be priced but rather to be enjoyed and meaningful.
