December 8th:
Interviewer: Do you feel the criminal justice system is fair to all groups?
Interviewee: It depends on the situation. Sometimes, when officers pull people over, they're cool; they may let them go with a warning. But it depends on race. Sometimes they're worse with other groups. Sometimes, they're easier on someone that is from their race group. Now, with Ferguson, etc., people think the whole criminal justice system is bad. Sometimes police abuse their power. Sometimes they're fair...sometimes, they're not. It comes down to power more than anything.
Interviewer: More than race?
Interviewee: Yes
Interviewer: What about the situation with the man in New York who the police officer choked to death?
Interviewee: They were wrong. There is evidence showing him saying he wasn't doing anything wrong. It was unfair. He was unarmed. The officer should have gotten some type of punishment. He was unarmed.
