So in the interview, we talked about innovation in pop music being a good thing or a bad thing. The interviewee believed that it's a good thing because this means that music is changing and not staying the same. We need this type of adjustment because then we wouldn't have the need to talk about issues like these. We talked about music being more open-minded and it could possibly be a bad thing since the generations of today seem to be focused a lot on music and the lyrics. The songs of today are not as professional as they were before. So if the generations of today are listening to music of today, what can that possibly do to their thoughts? The interviewee also believes that there is stereotype when it comes to rap. They put an example of punk music being a stereotype that only Caucasians listen to this type of music or an African American listens to rap. In reality, individuals listen to what they like and what fits their style. We both agreed that music of today seems to be more diverse, and it keeps changing if it's for the best or worse. Politically speaking the interviewee mentioned System of a Down, being a band that sings about politics and issues. Discovering new music could be something that interviewee will try to do, but isn't sure since they listen mainly to Hip-hop and rap.
