The interviewed my classmate about how the video gamers using females in there games as a sex symbol. I asked my interviewee about what he thought about video gamers using females as a sex symbol and promoting violence. My interviewee responded that the gamers did it because violence and sex sells today in our society. Video games are rated to show how graphic the game is so he said that it should have been the parents responsibility to know what their child is playing, therefore violence and and mistreating women is all part of the gaming industry to sell as much to their consumers. It all comes back to how much money your going to make. And if that means mistreating women and using them in violence and as sex symbols, then it should be appropriate.
