Summary: In this interview, I asked the interviewee if there were stereotypes in certain genres of music, and she responded with yes there are stereotypes within the rap, country, and Latin genres of music. She described the person or fan of who would listen to these genres, she said for rap, the stereotypes are African Americans with baggy clothing and "grills" and for country, she describes the stereotype of Caucasian people dressed up as cowboys and cowgirls and for Latin music, she described how everyone thinks every Latin listens to "corridos" which is a certain type of Latin music. Also, I asked her if there was more variety in today's music than there were ten years ago and she responded with a yes because there is a more variety with artists and they bring there own style but she also states that the radio loses that variety because sometimes the radio plays the same music on different radio stations.
I thought it was interesting that she said that we lose variety when different radio stations play the same songs. I hadn't thought of that.
