The article was very interesting and a great read, in fact this was one of my favorite article so far. Now this article was mainly about authenticity , and it focus on the rapper Eminem and how authentic he is in the rap music industry Now there were many great facts in this article but the one fact that stood out to me was that through all the stereo type based on his skin color which was white Eminem face at the start of his career he was still able to stay true to him self and that's very important thing to do especially in the gangsta rap genre. Thus he was able to stay authentic.
Eminem is the only rap artists that I like. I do not like the style or sound of rap artists, except for Eminem. So it is very interesting because Eminem is very authentic. He provides a different style that I enjoy for some reason.
ReplyDeleteYeah for some reason white rappers are looked down upon. Rapping is a black thing as it originated from African Americans I believe. But rapping isn't and shouldn't be about skin color and Eminem did a good job proving that with his lyrics and his success. And now he is one of the best rappers alive.
