Amy Ngo

After viewing a video of a feminist game critic, I interviewed a classmate on the topic of misogyny and feminism. I asked her if she sees misogyny happening in popular culture and she said that she saw it in a country music video. Typically, we would see scantily clad girls in rap videos, but now it's becoming more available in other genres of music. She said her brother plays video games that depict women in a negative way, and that it makes her feel uncomfortable, which is what feminists speak out for. We also discussed that Canadian massacre and the UCSB student's shooting rampage and how women were the main target. We both agreed that it's unfair that women are made to feel scared and vulnerable.
