Classroom Interview #1

Topic Misogamy, Feminism, Video games
He would describe his experience with video games that the female part would just randomly and assume sex. He commented on how it will be difficult to change that highly known characteristic of females in video games since there are a lot of males that participate in that hobby. Gaming industry that create a certain environment try to make it seem more authentic and realistic to the individual where like themes where the time period was when woman were highly sexualized and treated like object fits the scenes and tasks that occur in the video game. Which I believe that is what he explained when he spoke about how in video games they would refer to females as sluts and whores. The reason was to show what actually was happening during those times. At the same time he saw that the violence isn't a big issue because it is about the same the only difference is that now that he is of age he sees it more since it interests him, fighting type games like call of duty. He believe that they should make it more equal to have woman not be so objectified and violence create some sort of balance, but he also refers to the fact that in the present time you have the option to play a female main character and that shows improvement towards equality.
